Access Consciousness: What is it and How Does it Work?

Access is a set of tools designed to generate a state of heightened awareness. Similar to mindfulness, it aims to create a state where you are fully present in all areas of your life. This practice involves maintaining an open mind and accepting whatever is present at the moment. Developed by Gary Douglas and Dain Heer, founders of Access Consciousness, the technique seeks to free you from the “prison” of being attached to your thoughts (believing the stories you tell yourself) and your emotions (constantly reacting to them by clinging to or rejecting them). The ultimate goal is to see things as they are, gaining clarity to know what you can and want to change.

We may not always be aware of how our thoughts shape our lives. Through a continuous stream of thoughts, we interpret every detail of our day-to-day experiences, leading us to view our lives and experiences as either good or bad. Therefore, by changing the ingrained ways of thinking, you can change your reality. By changing your mind, you can change your life.

How Do Access Bars Work?

Access Bars involves touching a series of specific points on the head with the intention of releasing mental and emotional tensions and blockages. By releasing these blockages, it can improve physical, emotional, and mental health, promoting a greater sense of peace and happiness.

The Bars are 32 energetic points located on the head through which thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and attitudes flow—those that you consider important or have unconsciously adopted throughout your life. When these 32 points are activated during a session, they stimulate a deconditioning process that helps you let go of those ideas and emotions, allowing you to see the world with fresh eyes and unlock your personal growth.

This new beginner’s perspective doesn’t come automatically but develops over a series of sessions, during which the individual doesn’t need to make any particular effort. In my experience, this makes the Bars a great tool for times when you feel stuck in your introspective work and need support.

Access Bars can facilitate changes in any area of your life. Operating from a heightened state of awareness opens up a range of possibilities, including the possibility of healing. Additionally, the technique can help improve your physical health, as disturbing thoughts and emotions can influence your physical body and predispose it to illness.

Our Access Sessions

Our sessions last one hour and include time for those who wish to discuss their experience or share whatever they choose. The individual exchange after a session, in which both body and mind are calm and clear, can be very positive.
