PULSE DIAGNOSIS
Nadi Vigyan literally means “pulse reading” and is the oldest procedure for determining an individual’s psychophysical constitution and the state of balance or imbalance of the doshas.
As Vata, Pitta, and Kapha “dance” within our body, they create a deeply vibrant rhythm in our pulse: it is there that we can perceive them most easily. Through Nadi Vigyan, it is possible to discover the state of the doshas, whether they are aggravated or their localization. Pulse diagnosis allows us to determine which dosha is responsible for our discomfort and then treat the imbalance by applying the various systems described in Ayurveda.
For an immediate understanding, since ancient times, the rhythm, amplitude, and frequency of the pulse have been associated with the movement of animals.
By imagining blood flowing through an artery, we can “LISTEN” and perceive one dosha over another: Vata with an irregular and empty flow; Pitta with a regular and pulsating flow; and Kapha with a full and slow flow. The predominance of one characteristic over another will indicate the dominance or aggravation of a dosha.
Described in these terms, pulse diagnosis might seem like a very simple method to acquire, but in reality, Nadi Vigyan is very complex to determine. It requires a high degree of perceptual sensitivity.
Ayurvedic Diagnosis
The medical consultation is a meeting of Consciousness and Awareness between Doctor and Patient.
The Ayurvedic doctor will spend a significant amount of time listening to and understanding the patient, establishing empathy with them, in order to comprehend all aspects of potential imbalances in their physiology, not just the symptoms.
All the time necessary
The doctor will be able to verify the deep-rooted causes of potential physiological imbalances after a thorough examination, a long conversation, including genetic characteristics, daily routine, and dietary habits.
After evaluating the medical history, the doctor will perform Pulse Diagnosis (Nady Vigyan), and together with the classic diagnosis, the Ayurveda doctor will propose the appropriate Ayurvedic therapy tailored to the individual’s health condition.
Ayurvedic Consultation
A complete Panchakarma treatment is not always necessary to prevent illness, detoxify the physiology, or simply maintain good health.
The Ayurvedic doctor will work with you to determine the deep-rooted causes of your issues and prescribe a personalized holistic plan and natural remedies.
